works with firetv well. I used it today to replace my old Amazon remote and there is no difference between the two except the name brand isn't on the remote.

This remote is no different than the original. very easy to program and does exactly what the other one did. I couldn't program it though to turn the volume up and down on the TV. But that don't matter it still replace the one that I had.
